Funeral service for the late Katsumi "Kats" Okino, 83-year-old, Utah born resident of Torrance, who passed away on May 5, was held on Friday, May 11 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" in Los Angeles with Reverend William Briones from Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

Predeceased by his parents, Chiyotaro and Ayame and brothers Chisumi and Masaki; he is survived by Misao Okino; children, Cheryl (Alan) Masukawa, David (Linda) and Jon (Angela) Okino; grandchildren, Eric Masukawa, and Darren and Kristin Okino; siblings, Fumiye Kagawa and Sachiye (Bob) Takamoto; he is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
