Private service for retired US Army Veteran Katsumi Nagaoka, 81-year-old, Stockton -CA born resident of Gardena, who passed away on Oct. 12, 2009, was held on Fri. Oct. 23, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Minister from Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his children, Elaine E. (Brian) Omatsu, Masaru (Ginger) Nagaoka and Richard (Keiko) Nagaoka; grandchildren, Nolan, Preston & Lauren Nagaoka; also survived by other relatives here and in Japan
