Karen Eiko Shimabukuro, born in Honolulu, HI, and long-time resident of Gardena, CA, passed away at the age of 77 on September 13, 2017.  She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond; and is survived by her son, Earl; daughter, Joy (Andrew Berkin); grandson, Evan; sister, Florence Goya; and many nephews, nieces and other relatives.  A private funeral service was held on October 3rd at Green Hills Memorial Park.
