Josephine  R. Takara, 85 year old, Hawaii, Waialua-born, resident of Los Angeles peacefully passed away at her home on January 1st, 2024. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Toshio Takara.  She is survived by her loving family: sons, Terrence & Gary Takara, and daughter: Elaine Takara; also survived by sisters, Norma Dela Cruz, Lucy Calip, and Shirley Motas. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple on Saturday, January 13, 2024 with Reverend Rimban William Briones officiating.
