Private services for the late Mr. Joseph Mamoru Shimotsukasa, 84 year-old Japan born resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on May 8 at Burlington Convalescent Hospital, were held on May 16, 2006, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rinban Chuho Matsubayashi of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

He is survived by his brother, George (Mae) Shimotsukasa; sisters, Taneko Honda, Sachiko Sasaki and Mary (Louie) Sugawara; also survived by many nieces, nephew and other relatives.
