Funeral services for the late John Kyoichi Tsuruta, 84-year-old Orosi, Calif.-born Nisei resident of Torrance who passed away on September 21 at his residence, will be held on Monday, October 1, 11 a.m., at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Mitsuko Tsuruta; sons, John Shigeto, Randall S. (Jeanne), Dan Kiyoshi and Glen Mitsuo Tsuruta; daughter, Karen Kyoko Drennon; grandsons, Jon, Brian and Mark Tsuruta, Kenneth Drennon and Kevin and Matthew Tsuruta; sister-in-law, Shizuko Tsuruta; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
