(82) Passed away peacefully on March 1, 2009, surrounded by his children and grandson. Beloved father of George Masayoshi Sakabu, Joyce Yoshie Sakabu and Jeanne Kazumi Sakabu-Aedo; grandfather of Ryan Akio English; brother of Fred H. Sakabu; brother-in-law of Ann Takako (Roy) Takei and George H. (Ayako) Terakawa.
Private funeral service was held on Sun. March 8, 2009, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Bishop Seicho Asahi of Koyasan Buddhist Temple officiating.
