John Nishimura, 71 years old, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on June 4th. Services will be held on Tue. June 9 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Chapel, 222 S. Hewitt St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 am. All are invited to a luncheon immediately following Mass in the St. Francis Xavier auditorium.

He is survived by his wife, Tomiko Nishimura; children, Denise M. (Geoff) Lovejoy, Kevin M. (Sheri) Nishimura and Timothy C. Nishimura; grandchildren Aiko, Elijah and Timothy Lovejoy and Kaila Nishimura, brothers Richard (Felisa), George (Miki), Bryce and Donald (Chieko), sister Laura Yakabi, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Flora Saisho and Kathy Shigemoto.
