MR. JOE WADA, 83, resident of Montebello, passed away after a long illness on December 25, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. A Terminal Islander, he was graduated from UCLA in 1952, and then commenced a career as an aeronautical engineer. He enjoyed visiting national parks with his family, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Marion, daughter, Karen (Clark Stevens) Wada; son, Jon and daughter, Sharon (Doug) Van Kirk; grandchildren, Greg and Tim Van Kirk, and Emerson and Gwen Stevens. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held on Friday, January 3, at Centenary United Methodist Church.
The family requests that in lieu of koden please make donations to the Japanese American National Museum in memory of Mr. Joe Wada.
