A Celebration of Life service for the late Joe Nishimura, a 92-year-old Watsonville, California-born Nisei resident of Arleta and former internee of Manzanar relocation camp during WWII who passed away on January 9, 2015, will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 11:00 AM at Crossway Church of San Fernando Valley (Formerly San Fernando Valley Holiness)9610 Haddon Ave., Pacoima, CA 91331.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, June. Devoted father of Steven Joe (Evelyn) Nishimura, Norine Kiku (Gregory Priestley) Nishimura and Chris Hitoshi (Charlene) Nishimura; proud grandfather of Nicole Lynn (Edmund Ie) Nishimura, Kimberly Paige, Lisa Nori and Alex Joe Nishimura; loving brother of Shizue Sugimoto and brother-in-law of Kazuko Yoshigai. Also survived by many other family members.
