Obituary
SHIBATA, Joan Y. (82) passed away on August 4. A Gardena resident of 39 years.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jack T. Shibata; sisters, Kathryn Danbara and Jean (Herman) Nakagawa, both of Hawaii; sister-in-law, Hisako Kurata; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Hawaii.
Memorial service Thursday, August 10, 11:00 a.m. at Gardena Valley Baptist Church 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena, CA 90247 with Rev. Sam Tonomura officiating.
Family request that flowers please be omitted and request casual attire.
