Jimmy Makino, 95-year-old, decorated World War II US Army Vet who served in the 442 Regimental Combat team, Company G, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2017.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 11 ^th , 11 a.m. at Monte Vista Grove Homes (Marwick Hall) 2889 San Pasqual St. in Pasadena.

Predeceased by his wife, Masayo "Nancy" Makino; sisters, Holly Murashige, Mary Ito, Anna Oishi; he is survived by his daughter, Holly Kawashima; grandchildren, Kevin and Bryan (Uyen) Kawashima, and Sharon Ichinose; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.  Jimmy will be dearly missed and remembered as a loving husband, amazing father and grandfather.
