Mr. Jim Shigeyuki Kurata, 91 year-old, Firebaugh, CA born Nisei veteran and long-time resident of Los Angeles passed away peacefully on April 29, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19 ^th , 11:00 AM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden", 707 East Temple St., Los Angeles, with Rimban William Briones of Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Elsie Kurata and he is survived by his loving family; sister-in-law, Edna K. Furukawa and also survived by a niece, nephews and other relatives. Casual attire.
