Funeral services for the late Jim Takao Arima, 88-year-old Pasadena born resident of Gardena, who passed away peacefully on May 20th, were held on Thursday, May 26th at Green Hills Memorial Chapel with Rev. Nobuko Miyoshi from Higadshi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating. He is survived by his beloved wife, Masae Arima; daughters,Lynne (Craig) Yonemura, Ilene (Joe) Sugino-Johnson of New Jersey, and Joyce Sugino; son, Lester (Lynn) Sugino of Arizona; granddaughters, Melissa Sugino and Jana Yonemura; grandsons, Kelly Sugino and Kerry Johnson of New Hampshire; sister, Rose Iseri; also by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
