Age 80 passed away peacefully on 12/16/2022, surrounded by her family. Born in Ely, Nevada to Shigeo & Kimiko Ishii. In 1960 she graduated White Pine HS and attended USC where she met and married Dr. William T Futa. After graduation they moved to Milwaukee where she taught elementary school. After moves to Seattle & Edmonton they settled in Laguna Niguel and opened a periodontal practice in Orange. She was a devoted school volunteer, den leader & team mom; she loved creating crafts and attending her children's and grandchildren's games, performances & celebrations. She is survived by her husband Bill; children Kristine (Matt) Armstrong, Todd (Pete), Darren (Annie); grandchildren Kyle, Alyss, Colie, Jason, Henry; mother Kimiko Ishii; sister Barbara Fujioka & many relatives. She was a loving, dedicated mother and grandmother, beloved in her community for her kindness and strength.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 11 a.m. at Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church 30071 Ivy Glenn Dr. in Laguna Niguel.
