Jean Tokuko Murakawa Nishimoto

Jean is predeceased by siblings: Lorna Chang, Hubert Murakawa and Joyce Usunoki

Jean attended Naalehu Elementary and Intermediate School and Pahala High School, receiving a scholarship to McMurray College in Alboline, Texas. She entered into the insurance field, earning the highest degree in the insurance field, the CLU certification, and later earned an Executive Vice President Position with Marsh McClennan Insurance Company. Jean was a long-term board member of Little Tokyo Services Center and was instrumental in assisting in developing many long-term projects. She leaves behind Husband, Richard Nishimoto; brother, Galen S. Murakawa, Sr.,; brother-in-law, Mike Kusunoki; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Murakawa; and many nephews and nieces.

Celebration of Life will take place on June 6, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at West Los Angeles United Methodist Church at 1913 Purdue Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90025.
