Jean Chieko Furukawa, 90, a longtime resident of Gardena born in Honolulu, peacefully passed away at Southwood Living on March 16, 2026. Predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Kiyomu Furukawa, she is survived by her beloved children, Steven (& Christine) Furukawa, Susan (& TJ) McCue, and Sandra (& Chris) Low, and grandchildren Hope, Joshua, Daniel (& Regina), Ally, Zachary, and Davy.

A private graveside service was held on Friday, May 22, at Riverside National Cemetery, and a Celebration of Life was held in Torrance on Saturday, May 23.
