Jane Hideko Okada McNeely was born on October 21,1923, in Stockton California. She passed away suddenly at the age of 91 in Thousand Oaks, California on July 7, 2015 with her youngest daughter Roberta, nephew Sandy Tanida and friend Whitney Eum by her side. After graduating from Hollywood High in 1942 she and her entire immediate family were sent to a relocation camp at Santa Anita Racetrack and then interned at the relocation center in Heart Mountain, Wyoming for the duration of the war. Jane loved watching and listening to taiko of any kind. She enjoyed karaoke and watching tv especially the show Cops. Preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Anne McNeely. She is survived by her loving children, Billy Gene McNeely Jr., Elizabeth Jane Murphy, and Roberta Lea McNeely, her 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 daughter in law. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan. Funeral services will be held at the Oxnard Buddhist Temple, 250 South "H" Street, Oxnard, California 93030 on Wednesday, July 15th, 2015 at 12:30pm.
