Funeral service for the late James M. Tanaka, 90-year-old, CA born resident of Monterey Park, who passed away on May 7, 2017, will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 6:30 p.m. at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple 505 E. Third St. in Los Angeles

He is survived by his daughters, Doris J. Tanaka and Elaine (Steven) Jackson; grandsons, Barrett and Kyle Jackson; brother, Fred (Yuriko) Tanaka; he is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives in Japan.
