Memorial services for the late Mr. James Masami Tanaka, a 101 year-old, Honolulu Hawaii-born, Nisei resident of Rosemead who passed away on February 10, 2014, were held privately at St. Francis Xavier Chapel (formerly known as Maryknoll), officiated by Father Richard Hoynes.

Mr. Tanaka was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lillian Kimiyo Tanaka.Devoted father of Carole (Tom) Teranishi, and Sandra and Wesley (Lena) Tanaka; proud grandfather of Paul (Nancy) Teranishi, Lisa Otsuka, Joan (Mark) Nagata, Sharise Tanaka, Ann (Keith) Harrison, Bradford Tanaka, and Vicki (Bill) Kaiser; loving grandfather of 13 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many other family members.
