Obituary
Funeral service for the late James (Jim) Kitano, 52 year-old long time Long Beach resident who passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 16, will be held on Thursday, April 26, 10:30 a.m. at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena. Pastor Gary Shiohama of South Bay Community Church will be officiating. The family requests casual attire.
Jim is survived by his loving parents, Roy and Toshiko Kitano; sister, Judi (Mike Yogi) Kitano; niece, Katherine Yogi; nephews, Matthew and Daniel Yogi; also survived by other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Kitano.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to South Bay Community Church, 370 Amapola Ave., Suite #208, Torrance, CA 90501.
