Iwao Matt Matsuoka was born on April 14, 1919, in Los Angeles, CA, and passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2021, at the age of 102.

He graduated from USC with a business degree in 1941 and served in the US Army during World War II.  In 1962 he began working at American Honda, serving as Director of Public Relations and Vice-President of Honda International Trading Corp.  He remained at American Honda until retirement.

His passions in life were being with family, deep-sea fishing, golfing, USC football, and traveling to various places, especially Hawai'i and Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Yoshie, brother Akira, and children Daniel (Keiko), Joyce (Dave), Jon (Lehua) and Matthew (Yuka), and 6 grandchildren (Kyle, Kevin, Koa, Kupono, Alyssa, and Saya), as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.  The family requests no koden.
