Private graveside services for the late Isao Sakai DDS, 84 year-
old, Terminal Island born Nisei veteran who served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 1949 – Dec. 1952 and also served in the U.S. Air Force from Dec. 1962 – Dec. 1964 as a dentist, passed away on August 1, 2012, were held on August 25 at Rose Hills Memorial Park with Pastor Troy Wong
of Gateway Friend's Church officiating.
Isao is predeceased by his wife, Akiko and is survived by his
loving family, daughter, Jane (Edward) Sakai-Su; son, Robert Sakai; grandchildren, Joshua, Jared and Jonah Su; sister, Tama Inabu; brother, Hiroshi (Kasumi) Sakai; also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
