Funeral service for Isamu Sam Sakahara 97-year-old, Covina born, resident of Altadena who passed away on Jan. 20, 2012 at his residence, will be held on Monday, Jan. 30 from 11:00 AM at Pasadena Buddhist Temple, 1993 Glen Ave., Pasadena.
He is survived by his wife, Yaeko May Sakahara; daughter, Michiko C. (Ronald M. ) Oba; son, Arthur H. (Cheryl H.) Sakahara; grandchildren, Curtis Sakahara and Staci (Sid) Murai; brothers, Hideo, Shizuto (Nobue) and Mitsuo (Etsuko) Sakahara of Japan; sisters, Masako Morimoto, Misue Ueda of Japan; many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
