Isamu Sam Kawahira, 90-year-old, Los Angeles born, resident of Los Angeles, passed away on February 18, 2020 at Kei-Ai Los Angeles Healthcare Center.

He is survived by his wife, Hisako Kawahira; brothers-in-law, Aurelio and Mike Ikeda; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Private family funeral service was held on Friday, March 6 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with a minister from Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating.
