Funeral services for the late Mrs. Irene Aiko Yuguchi, a 92-year-old, Riverside, California-born Nisei who passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 were held privately at Hollenbeck Palms Chapel.



Born November 17, 1919 in Riverside, California, she was the last surviving and seventh of eight children of Kiku Imamura and Tameki Yonemura. Married to Victor Hada who was killed in action while serving with the 442 RCT during WWII, she later married Satoshi Cy Yuguchi in 1948 after completing her bachelors degree and graduate program in physical therapy at UCLA and became a licensed Physical Therapist in California. She enjoyed a life hosting and preparing dinner and pool parties, traveling often, volunteering in the community and church, and spending time with close friends and family.


Beloved mother of David Lewis Yuguchi and Janie Ellen Yuguchi Gates; grandmother of Katherine Aiko and Kelsey Kiku Alexandra Gates and Emily Claire Yuguchi. Also survived by many other relatives.
