Family funeral services for Irene Imako Yamamoto, 87-year-old Redondo Beach-born Nisei and long-time resident of Sun Valley who passed away on March 28 at Country Villa Nursing Center, were held on Sat. April 4 at Fukui Mortuary.
Predeceased by her husband Kazuo Yamamoto and her daughter, Kimie Jane Kamikawa. She is survived by her son, John Mikio (Grace) Yamamoto; daughters, Kayoko (Eugene) Uno and Betty Kumiko (Gary) King; sister Asako Nomura; son-in-law, Wesley Kamikawa; grandchildren, Justin, Lynnette, Matthew and Michelle Yamamoto, Jason and Michael Uno, Sharlene (Adam) Siegel and Cheryl King, Denny (Linh), Derek and Keith Kamikawa; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives
