Please note that the previously announced time for the funeral services for the late Mrs. Irene Kiyoko Sato, a 93 year old Kauai, Hawaii-born Nisei resident of South Pasadena who passed away on December 4 has been changed to 11:00 AM and will be held on Saturday, December 18 at St. James Episcopal Church, 1325 Monterey Rd., South Pasadena, CA, officiated by Rev. John Dephouse. In lieu of koden or flowers, the family requests that donations be made in the name of Mrs. Irene Kiyoko Sato to either the Go For Broke Educational Foundation (310) 328-0907, or to the Japanese American National Museum (213) 625-0414.
Mrs. Sato is survived by her husband, Dr. William Sato; children, Katheryn Lynn and Dr. David Alan (Barbara) Sato; grandchildren, Matthew David, Melissa Nicole and Alex Willam Sato; siblings, Lillian Sakae Yu and Yukiko Eleanor (Tomotsu) Akiyoshi of HI, Jean Itsuko Ishihara of IL, Sue Sueko (Lawrence) Nishikawa of KS, and Shuichi Reuben (Renee) Yoshikawa of VA. Also survived many other relatives. Predeceased by siblings Yoshiyuki Jack Yoshikawa and Ayako Dorothy Koike and brothers-in-law Young Yu and Kazuo Ishihara.
