Obituary

Ike Tasuke Hatchimonji,  a 90-year-old El Centro, California-born Nisei resident of Torrance  and former internee of Heart Mountain Relocation camp during WW2, longtime volunteer docent at the Japanese American National Museum  who honorably served his country in the US ARMY and as a Foreign Service Officer for the US Agency for International Development passed away on January 17, 2018.

Ike is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth; children,  Alan (Souzan) Hatchimonji of Connecticut, James (Rachel) Hatchimonji and Susan (Jim) Gates; grandchildren, Justin (Danielle) Hatchimoji of Pennsylvania, Abigail Hatchimonji,  Grant Hatchimonji of Massachusetts, Kelly Gates, Kenji and Emi Hatchimonji; great-grandson Evan Hatchimonji; brother, Mike (Grace) Hatchimonji.  Also survived by many other relatives.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Japanese American National Museum, 100 N Central Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90012 .
