Obituary
Funeral services for the late Mr. Iemasa William Azuma,
90 year- old, Los Angeles California-born resident of El Monte who passed away on September20, were held on September 26, 2009, at Fukui Mortuary " Chapel in the Garden" officiated by Pastor Yoshinosuke Nakao of West Covina Christian Church.
He was a WWII 442nd RCT/100th Battalion Company "B". He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal, 2 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart, Distinguished Unite Badge, and the WWII Victory Medal. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Ikue Azuma; brother, Roy (Hilde) Azuma; nephew, Harald Azuma; niece, Mina Azuma; brother-in law; Kei (Carmen) Higashi; also survived by many relatives from Japan.
