Funeral services for the late Shang Barbod, 88-year-old, proud U.S. citizen and resident of San Gabriel, born in Tehran, who passed away on October 27, 2017, will be held on Saturday, December 2, 12 p.m. at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple 505 E. Third St. in Los Angeles. By the family's request, men should not wear neckties to the service.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Barbod; daughters, Heather and Tiffany Barbod; brothers, Martin (Linda) and Johnny (Fataneh) Barbod; sister, Paricher Makarechi; best friend and longtime business partner, Joe Mudrick; sister-in-law, Margaret (Rudi) Gomez; brother-in-law, Marvin Kozai; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
