Hiroshi Ota, age 105, born in Holtville, CA, passed away peacefully at his home on January 4, 2026. He was predeceased by his loving wife Masako Ota; brothers Akira and Kazumi Ota; sisters Chiyeko Naito, Michiye Nakagawa, and Yuriko Suda. He is survived by his loving family; sons Kazuo and Roy Ota; daughters Rumiko Ota, Fujie (Ronald) Ohata, Emily (Howard) Okano, and Linda Ota; granddaughters Lauren Ohata-Chang, Jillian Okano, and Maria Aguilera; great-grandson Oliver Chang; brother Harry Ota; sisters Harumi Sasaki and Natsuye Shimono; also many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st Street, Los Angeles, on Saturday, January 24 at 3pm.
