A private service of committal for the late Mrs. Hiro Nagasawa, a 106-year-old, Shimizu-Shi, Shizuoka-ken, Japan-born Issei resident of Los Angeles and former internee of Heart Mountain Relocation Camp during WWII who passed away on December 16, 2011 was held at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.
Mrs. Nagasawa was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Kumakichi Nagasawa. She is survived by her children, Sumiye (widow of Hidezo) Yonemoto, Yurika Matsushita, Masaru Nagasawa and Sachina (Tadaaki) Mimura of Idaho; grandchildren: Kimiko Diane (Shuji) Nakano, Miyo Janet (Sally) Romain, Joni Michiko (Christiaan) Mostert of Oregon, Brian Akio Matsushita, Ron Hiroshi Matsushita, Mako (Ming) Nagasawa of Massachusets, Mari (Richard) Laine of France, Mark (Peggy) Mimura of Idaho, Susan Mimura of Idaho, and Linda (Kelly) Hand. Also survived by many great-grandchildren and other family members.
