Funeral services for the late Hideo Kawaratani, 88 year old Nisei resident of Laguna Beach who passed away at home on February 4th, will be held on Friday, Feb 12th, 11AM at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St. Los Angeles, 90012. A public visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb 11th from 7-9 PM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles 90012. The family kindly requests that flowers be omitted.

Hideo served honorably in E. Company of the 442nd Infantry Regiment in Italy during World War II. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sadako Kawaratani; children, Glenn Kawaratani, Kay (Eiji) Masuyama, Dale (Cathy) Kawaratani, and Alan Kawaratani; grandchildren, Timothy Kawaratani, Jennifer Kawaratani and Keiko Masuyama; also survived by many other relatives.
