HIDEO KAKEHASHI, 96 year old California born resident of Mar Vista, passed away on April 2. He served in WWII with the M.I.S. unit and was with the first group to land in occupied Japan under Gen. MacArthur. Public funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 6:00 P.M. at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden", 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, California.

He is survived by his wife, Mae Michie Kakehashi; daughter, Colleen Dale (Ken) Hoff of CO; son, Robert Kevin Kakehashi M.D.; grandchildren, Michael Carroll, Laura Michelle, and Ryan Mitchell Kakehashi; brother, Yoshio Kakehashi; Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
