A private family funeral service for the late Mr. Hideo Chinen, 90 year-old, Maui, HI born Nisei resident of Gardena passed away peacefully on August 27, 2015 was held on Saturday, September 19th at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. Nobuko Miyoshi of West Covina Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his loving family; wife Elina Chinen; daughters, Lynda Iraha of HI and Lesley Chinen of Gardena; grandson Evan Yamamoto of HI; sisters, Dorothy Doi of HI and Cynthia (Ronald) Naylor of Anaheim; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
