Private memorial services for the late Hideko Hosokawa Murakami, 94-year-old, Honolulu Hawaii born resident of Monterey Park, who passed away on February 8, 2010, were held on Sunday, February 21, at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden".

She is survived by her son, Gilbert (Nancy) Hosokawa; daughter, Mildred (Paul) Yamashiro; grandchildren, Denise (Craig) Tanaka, Sherri (Gregg) Preston, and Craig (Renee) Yamashiro; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, Dayna, Haley, Cole, Rylie, Blake, Kyler and Keanu; sisters, Shizue Yoshimura of Hawaii and Chizuko Kawatani of Japan; she is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
