Herbert Masao Kaku, an 87-year-old native of Kona, Hawaii, and resident of Torrance, California, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura H. Kaku; his sisters, Grace Imamoto and Elsie Nagasawa.  He is survived by his daughter, Jeri

(Chester) Ritchie; son, Douglas Kaku; granddaughters, Brooke and Jenna Ritchie; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 3:00 PM at

Faith United Methodist Church, 2115 W 182nd St., Torrance, CA 90504.

Casual attire is welcome.
