Funeral services for the late Henry Masami Uyeda, 86-year-old Los Angeles-born Nisei and resident of Torrance who passed away on August 24 at his residence, will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 7:30 p.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St., L.A., under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.

He is survived by his daughters, Irene Uyeda and Judy (Thomas) Shigemitsu; grandchildren, Pamela (Travis) Almeida and Jillian Shigemitsu; brother-in-law, Masato Watanabe; nephews and nieces in Japan; and other relatives.
