IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Henry
Quock
May 30, 1927 – November 8, 2025
Henry Quock lived a full and beautiful life of 98 years before peacefully passing on November 8, 2025.
A proud World War II veteran, Henry returned home to build not just a career, but a legacy. He poured his heart into Marina Tire Company, which he established and ran with dedication, and later brought that same commitment to his work with the State Lottery. But it was his generous spirit in the community that truly defined him — whether he was mentoring young people through the Tigers Youth Club, serving with the Crescent Bay Optimist, or enriching living for the Venice Community Center.
Faith was Henry's foundation. From his early days at True Light Presbyterian Church to the decades he spent as a cherished member of Venice Free Methodist, his beliefs guided him through life's journey.
Henry had a zest for life that never dimmed. He was out on the golf course well into his 90s, still chasing that perfect swing. His poker face was legendary among friends, and the click of mahjong tiles brought him joy whether he was playing with neighbors or gathered around the table with family.
Henry's greatest love was his wife, Alice, who preceded him death. Together they built a beautiful family that continues their legacy: his children Lisa Chin (David), Kathy Quock, Kevin Quock (Debbie), and Shari Tochihara (Steven); his grandchildren Nicole (Reuben Sasaki), Ryan (AnneMarie), and Bethanie Chin; Keli and Kristyn Quock; and Kelsey and Jeremy Tochihara; and two great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to his later years. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whose lives he touched deeply.
A private service was held at Fukui Mortuary, where family gathered to celebrate a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
