Henry Hiroshi Mukai, 93, passed away on February 5, 2021, at Sakura Gardens in Boyle Heights.

Henry was predeceased by his beloved wife Chiyoko.  He is survived by his children Dennis (Lorin) and Michelle (Alan), by his grandchildren, Steve (Julia), Chris (Sarah), and John (Magdalena), and by his great-grandchildren Jack, Joey, MariaElena, Penelope, and Paulo.

From Pasadena to Hiroshima, back to Los Angeles, Henry lived a life full of challenges and rich rewards.  Always one to consider others before himself, his gentle spirit and never-ending smile will be greatly missed.

A private graveside funeral service will be held.  A memorial will be held at a future time when we can safely gather and celebrate Henry.
