Henry M. Minami, 79-year-old, Los Angeles-born, resident of Woodland Hills peacefully passed away at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on June 18 from severe lung and heart problems.

An engineer/marketer for Boeing-Rocketdyne for 40 years, Henry had a love of learning and new experiences. He traveled the world; was an avid nonfiction reader; belonged to the Plato Society (a study discussion group); went to many lectures; enjoyed trying different restaurants, and liked fashion and attire.

He is survived by his loving family: wife, Janet Minami; sister, Terri (John Lawton) Minami; and many relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held later, and the family requests no koden or flowers.
