Obituary

Helen Kimi Yamauchi, a 98-year-old, San Jose, California-born Nisei resident of Los Angeles and former internee of Topaz and Tule Lake Relocation Camps during World War II passed away peacefully on December 16, 2015. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Dr. Paul Yamauchi. Helen is survived by her children, Norman (Nora) and Kent (Lisa) Yamauchi, Carol (David) Kawai and Leah (Rick) Kurihara; Grandchildren, Michelle, Jeffrey and Brandon Yamauchi, Nicole Kawai, and Kyle and Kristen Kurihara. Also survived by her loving twin sister Leah Shiozaki, and many other family members.

Funeral services were held privately. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of koden or flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimers Association www.alz.org (800) 272-3900 or to the charity of your choice.
