A private funeral service for the late Mrs. Hatsumi (nee Matoba) Nakamura was held on January 14 ^th at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. The 92 year-old Guadalupe, CA born Nisei resident of Montebello, CA passed away peacefully on December 18 ^th .

She was predeceased by her husband Sam Sadao Nakamura; and is survived by her daughter Denise (Maurice) Martinez, grandchildren Michael and Jane Martinez, great-grandson Caleb Martinez, sister Tomi Tanaka, and sister-in-law Alice Matoba. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
