Mrs. Hatsuko (Abe) Takechi passed away peacefully on August 24. She was 98. A Nisei born in Stockton, CA, to Toranojo and Maki Abe, she lived most of her life on Bacon Island and resided in her later years in San Diego and Orange Counties. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Stockton with a private burial taking place at Stockton Rural Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Toshio; son, Katsuya "Buster" Takechi and daughter, Kayoko (Takechi) Kariya.

She is survived by her son, Michi Takechi of Sacramento, CA; sister, Fumiyo Kobayashi of Japan; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
