Beloved and an inspiration to her family, friends and people she met, Harue Mayeda passed away on September 2, 2007 at 83 after a lengthy illness. Harue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chuck, in 2001.

Harue will be forever missed by her devoted sons, Bill and Chuck (Donna Horibe); granddaughters, Cheryl and Lori Mayeda; her sister, Sue Ito; brother, Frank (Nobi) Okumura and sister-in-law, Jean Okumura; and many relatives and caregivers.

Harue lived 30 years after a massive cerebral hemorrhage (in December, 1976). Her joy of life, triumph over all adversity and love of people will never be forgotten by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 3 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Chapel, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, with burial to follow. Casual dress acceptable.
