Funeral service for Haru Okuno, 101 year-old, Mie-ken born resident of Los Angeles who passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2015 at Keiro Nursing Home, was held on Fri, March 6 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. Shuichi Kurai of Sozenji Buddhist Temple officiating.
She is survived by her son, Makoto (Carolyn) Okuno; daughter, Yoneko Takeda; brother, Sohei Hamano; sister, Toshi Iba; grandchildren, Craig Okuno, Linda (Jeff) Niizawa, Robert (Betty) Okuno, Kevin (Mary) Takeda and Jeff (Melissa) Takeda; nine great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
