Greg was born in Fargo, ND to Harold and Ilene (Pederson) Larson on 10/1/1959.  He spent his youth in Fargo, ND graduating from Fargo North High in 1978.   He loved sports and was active in football, baseball, and basketball throughout high school along with American Legion Baseball.  He went on to play baseball at Moorhead State University.  After graduation from MSU, he attended and graduated from UND School of Law.  He moved to San Diego CA in 1986 and began his career as an attorney working at local law firms before going into private practice on his own. He was blessed to meet his long-time love and best friend, Kyoko Yoshihara over 20 years ago and they married in 2015.  They made their home in Torrance, CA where they both practiced law.  Greg passed away unexpectedly in his home of natural causes on 1/2/2024.

Greg loved sports and deeply valued the friendships that he developed through teams and his life experiences.  It gave him great joy to connect and keep up to date with friends.  Please know how important you all were to him.   Greg's favorite things were Duke basketball, the NY Yankees and reading voraciously.

He is survived by his wife, Kyoko, Torrance, along with her parents, brother, and nephew in Japan; Sisters: Kim (Marty) Haley, Kari (Dave) Teschendorf, Wendy (Richard) Hell, all Fargo, ND;   Nieces and nephews: Erin Haley, Edina, MN, Tana Teschendorf, Duluth, MN, Ryan (Megan) Haley, Apple Valley, MN, Mara (Taylor) Teschendorf, West Fargo ND, Max (Lindsey) Teschendorf, Fullerton, CA, Brody Hell, Josie Hell both Moorhead, MN along with one great niece, one great nephew and another he was excited to meet this spring.  He was loved and will be missed by all of them along with a wonderful extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, along with his childhood dog, Rusty and cats, Cassie, and Zoom- Zoom whom he treasured.

Our hearts will forever feel this loss.

Services will be held at Fukui Mortuary, Inc on Monday January 15th at 1pm with another service at Hope Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND on 1/22 at 1pm with a livestream on their website.
