HORI, Grace Michika,
Teacher Grace, as she was known to her Headstart students in East L. A., passed away peacefully on November 3, 2015 at the age of 97 at her home of over 40 years in Montebello, California. She was born Grace Michika Okamoto to father Heisaburo and mother Fusano in Florin California in 1918. She is predeceased by her husband Mac Masaji Hori and her brothers Sam, Joe and Bill. Grace is survived by her sons Ronald, Ernest and Gene (aka Ron, Ernie and Geno) and grandsons Nick, Greg and Gavin. Memorial services were held November 21, 2015 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Rev. George Egami of Evergreen Baptist Church San Gabriel Valley officiating.
