Gloria Rhodes-Iba passed away on August 12, 2023 after a short illness.  She was born in Kamakura, Japan on November 20, 1954 to Robert Rhodes and Toyo Saito-Rhodes. Gloria was the second of identical twin girls.  Gloria attended Kinnick High School in Yokosuka, Japan, a school on a U.S. naval base.

After high school, the family moved to New Jersey where Gloria worked as a hair dresser in New York City.  She later moved to Los Angeles and joined Grace, who had relocated there a few years earlier.  Gloria got a job at California First Bank where after several mergers, she recently retired after 40 years with the bank.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Glenn, sons Dale and Kevin, sister Grace and brother Robert of Kyoto, Japan.  A viewing and a celebration of life will be held at Fukui Mortuary on September 19, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
